Special Note for Regulated Industries: PurePDF uses zero-knowledge, client-side processing technology. Your documents never leave your device, making our Service suitable for: - Healthcare organizations subject to HIPAA - Law firms handling privileged information - Financial institutions with strict data requirements - Government agencies with security mandates

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PurePDF, you agree to these Terms. If you're using PurePDF on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

What PurePDF Is

PurePDF is a browser-based PDF processing service that operates entirely on your device. We provide tools for: - Compressing PDFs - Merging multiple PDFs - Splitting PDFs - Rotating PDF pages - Extracting pages - Additional features as we develop them

How It Works

- All PDF processing occurs in your web browser - Files are NEVER uploaded to our servers - We CANNOT access your document contents - Processing uses WebAssembly and JavaScript technology - Files remain in your browser's memory temporarily

What We DON'T Do

- Store your PDFs - Access document contents - Share your files - Create permanent copies - Track document information

4. Account Registration

You can use basic features without an account. Premium features require registration.

Account Requirements

If you create an account: - Provide accurate information - Maintain security of your credentials - Notify us of unauthorized access - Be responsible for all account activity

5. Subscription Plans

Tiers

- Free: 5 operations daily, 10MB file limit - Pro ($7.99/month): Unlimited operations, 100MB files - Business ($19.99/month): 500MB files, API access, priority support

Trial Period

Pro and Business plans include a 2-day free trial. Cancel anytime during the trial without charge.

Billing

- Subscriptions auto-renew - Payments processed by Stripe - No refunds for partial periods - Cancel anytime for next period

6. Acceptable Use

You MAY:

- Process any documents you have rights to - Use for commercial purposes (with appropriate plan) - Process confidential/sensitive documents - Rely on our privacy architecture

You MUST NOT:

- Attempt to reverse-engineer our service - Use for illegal purposes - Overload our systems intentionally - Violate intellectual property rights - Resell or redistribute our service

Note on Content

Since we cannot see your documents, you are solely responsible for ensuring you have rights to process them.

10. Limitation of Liability

Maximum Liability

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST 12 MONTHS.

No Consequential Damages

11. Indemnification

12. Termination

By You

- Cancel subscription anytime - Delete account anytime - Stop using the Service anytime

By Us

We may terminate for: - Terms violation - Abuse of Service - Non-payment - Legal requirements

Effect of Termination

- Access ends immediately - No refunds for current period - No document recovery (we don't store them)

13. Healthcare Industry (HIPAA)

Not a Business Associate

PurePDF is NOT a HIPAA Business Associate because: - We never access PHI - Documents never leave your control - No server-side processing - Zero-knowledge architecture

Safe for Healthcare

Healthcare providers can use PurePDF without: - Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) - HIPAA compliance concerns - PHI exposure risk - Audit trail requirements for documents
